Primary Six

Welcome to Primary Six.

The Primary Six Team are:

  • Mrs McIlwaine and Mrs Quinn (Primary Six Teachers)
  • Mrs Kelly, Miss Ashmore, Miss Goodyear, Ms Gentili, Ms Logan, Mrs O’Boyle (Classroom Assistants)

In Primary Six our children are very much becoming leaders of the school. We provide a wide variety of learning experiences through all the curricular areas. The children are given opportunities to develop their thinking skills and personal capabilities through their participation in individual, partner and group work.

Throughout the year the children engage in a selection of interesting topics including The Vikings, Fabulous Fabrics, Eco-Warriors, Money Wise and Flight. These topics promote the children's independent learning and have cross curricular links where possible.

In Primary Six the pupils participate in the Young Enterprise Business Beginnings Programme where they are involved in setting up their own company and selling a product throughout the school. This has proven to be a great success in previous years.

In Term Two the children have the opportunity to display their creativity and drama skills in the Passion Assembly during Holy Week.

We hope that your child will have an enjoyable and fun filled year in Primary Six!
