The finals of the 2026 Belfast City Council Cross-Country Finals took place recently at Mallusk Playing Fields.
Following on from the heats in March, all four teams qualified for the finals and some children also qualified for the individual finals.
We were so proud of the excellent performances from each of our competitors who gave their all throughout the tricky 1.48km races.
In the first race of the day, the P6 Girls’ Open Final, St Therese secured a second place finish after a fantastic race. We also had a tenth place finish to get off to a great start.
In the Primary 7 Girls’ Open Final, two of our girls managed to secure a podium finish with first and third spots. Another of our pupils finished eighth!
In the Boys’ P7 Open Final, we had a strong showing overall and were rewarded with a 7th place finish.
In the individual finals, all of the children gave excellent performances in very competitive fields to secure strong finishes to bring the day to an end.
Well done to everyone for their efforts and commitment throughout the year. It has been a pleasure to watch your progress.
