Viking Feast Day

27th Oct 2022

The Primary 6 children have been exploring Viking life this term. They have discovered where the Vikings came from and which countries they invaded. They have explored reasons for leaving Scandinavia and have worked collaboratively to make decisions in our Stay, Raid, Settle game. The children got creative in art and made Viking boats as well as Vikings from clay. They enjoyed listening and responding to the classical piece, Flight of the Valkyrie in their music lessons.

Group work skills were further developed when the children had to research facts about Viking gods and goddesses and then produce a poster to share with their peers.

The topic was brought to an exciting conclusion with a Viking Feast Day. The children looked amazing in their costumes. Well done boys and girls. 👏🏻👏🏻
