Primary 7 children had great fun at our Open Day! They had worked hard preparing mathematical challenges linked to fractions and percentages, to demonstrate just one way we can use Izak9 cubes to engage in active learning. The children worked collaboratively to prepare the tasks and were able to apply their excellent number skills to solve problems. The challenges created a great buzz in the room, where all were engaged in developing their thinking skills to solve problems. The parents were very impressed with the enthusiasm of the children for their numeracy work, but even more so with the polite manner in which the children engaged with the parents. We are so proud of our children for all these attributes!!
