As part of our WAU topic, we have been learning about the significance of the River Nile in Ancient Egyptian times. The children were challenged to build a shaduf that will transport water from one place to another. They had to consider how to make it a fair test, what design the shaduf should take in order to be able to sit securely and what lever mechanism was best to be able to move properly. It was quite the challenge!! Engineering at its best!
