P5 children had great fun learning about standard units of time. They were given the task of choosing and using appropriate standard units to estimate the duration of familiar practical activities. I think estimating how long a pop song lasts was the most fun – the boys and girls couldn’t resist getting up out of their seats for a dance!! They are excited for the next lesson where they will attempt to estimate the duration of sporting events. They are looking forward to watching clips from the 2024 Paris Olympic Games to see how accurate their estimations are!
