P5 Fires Safety visit from NIFRS

We were delighted to welcome the team from Westland Fire Station to speak to our Primary 5 year group about fire safety. They told us about the gadgets and appliances in our homes which can be a fire hazard, and what we can do to make them safer. We also learned how to “stop, drop and roll” if we ever encounter a fire, and took part in the ‘Fireman Shuffle’, the dance that keeps fire personnel safe when they are in the middle of thick smoke.
