Music in P6

As part of the World Around Us topic of the Vikings, the children have been listening to Richard Wagner’s ‘Ride of the Valkyries’. The pupils loved listening to this piece of classical music and discussing the different emotions they felt during it. They enjoyed talking about the imagery associated with the Vikings going into battle. The pupils discussed the differences in tempo and mood and how it made the music come alive.
