Meet Your New Student Council 2025/26

6th Nov 2025

We are here to introduce ourselves to you, the new Student Council for 2025-26. We will be representing the voices of our pupils and helping make our school even better.

First of all we would like to thank you-our friends, for voting for us and believing in us.  It is an honour for each one of us to have the chance to represent  the pupils and make our school the best it can be.

In our class there will be a Student Council Representative and Deputy Student Council Representative.
We are ready to get started and lead the way together, representing your voices and helping make our school even better.

Student Council representative in Mr Reynold’s Primary 7 Class
I believe that I will be a great representative as I am sensible, hard-working, and I have a loud, clear voice, so I can make sure everyone’s ideas and concerns are heard. I feel confident speaking in front of people and I’m not afraid to speak up for you. I promise to represent everyone fairly and I will always listen to your thoughts and suggestions. I’m looking forward to bringing more fun and exciting things to our school, like dress-up days to explore the world around us and board games during golden time so we can relax and enjoy time together. I care about making our school a place where everyone feels happy, included and heard.
Thank you for believing in me and I look forward to representing you all.

Student Council representative in Mrs McIlwaine’s Primary 6 Class

I’m a great listener and I will always try to make fair decisions based on what you the pupils say. This year I would love to see more time to access ICT resources, more activities in the garden, more active lessons and maybe even more school trips! Together let’s make school even more fun and exciting!

Student Council representative in Mrs Quinn's Primary 6 Class
I am a very kind and thoughtful person and care about how everyone is feeling. I think every classroom should have a calm corner, a quiet space where pupils can take a moment to calm down and regulate how they’re feeling. It’s important that everyone continues to feel safe and supported in our school.

Student Council representative in Mrs Byrne's Primary 5 Class
I am really excited to be part of the Student Council and help share ideas from our class. I am really keen to try and get more bikes and scooters for more year groups. I will also try and get more time in the garden and sensory room. Let’s make this year amazing!

Student Council representative in Mrs Callion's Primary 5 Class
I’m ready to listen, share ideas and help make positive changes in our school. I am so happy to be part of our school council. Let’s do this together!

Student Council representative in Miss McMullan's P4 Class
I am a super listener and I believe that even though we are young, we can make real changes by working together. I’d love to see more shared time with other classes so we can make new friends and get to know each other better.

Student Council representative in M's McClenaghan's Primary 4 Class
I’m hardworking, a good communicator and I care about the happiness of students, teachers – everyone in our school! I’d like to see more options for school dinners, healthier choices and maybe even more non-uniform days!

We are here to listen to your ideas, your concerns and your dreams for our school.
Together, we can create a school environment where everyone feels included, supported, and inspired.

Our goals are simple but powerful:

  • Voice: Making sure every student has a say.
  • Action: Turning great ideas into real changes.
  • Community: Building a school where we all feel proud to belong.

We will be organising, supporting and working hard to make things happen. But we can’t do it alone—we will be doing it with the energy, creativity, and participation of our whole school family.

We are the children of today but the adults of the future. Let’s make changes together.’
