My Mind and Me - P4

Ms Mc Clenaghan’s class took part in the Me and My Mind programme this morning, by AWARE NI, which focused on the importance of learning new skills to boost mental health. Pupils explored big ideas like:

• It’s okay not to feel happy all the time
• Understanding feelings can be hard, but talking about them is good
• Notice your feelings—when you do, unhelpful thoughts and feelings lose their power
• Focus on what you can do, not what you can’t
• The power of connections and how friendships support wellbeing

It was a fantastic session which promoted the children’s confidence, resilience and emotional awareness! Thanks Alison! 💓😊
