Mandarin Competition

8th Jul 2022

A massive congratulations to the P5 and P7 children who made it through to the regional final of the Chinese Bridge competition. They stood out from 237 participants from across the UK!

Five of the children came into school on Friday 8th July, giving up a morning of their summer holidays to compete in the final. However all their hard work and dedication paid off as they ALL were placed in the competition!!

Alicia from P5 was entered into the individual category and was given a special commendation for her creativity AND she was placed second overall!

Sophie and Braedan from P7 came third overall as did Eimear and Eaclain from P5! We are all extremely proud of their performances and how well they prepared and practiced through all stages of the competition. Well done to you all!

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part from Key Stage 2 and a massive thank you to Miss Xu our Mandarin Teacher for helping our children learn the wonderful language of Mandarin each week and working hard to prepare them for this competition. Thanks also to Mrs Hamill for coordinating the teaching of Mandarin and for her work ensuring the children were so well prepared for the competition! Xie Xie Ni
