In the first outing of the year for our girls, they were drawn to play against local North Belfast neighbours Currie Primary School. The game took place at a cold and breezy Waterworks with a strong attendance from both sets of fans to cheer on the girls.
St Therese started off the game on a very positive and attacking foot and created many chances in the opening exchanges of the first half. Some excellent stopping from the Currie goalkeeper managed to keep her team in the game. St Therese were not to be denied and after continued attacks, they managed to take control of the game with 2 goals in quick succession.
After a quick reset and some changes at half-time, St Therese were able to continued to control the game in the second half and extended their lead with some great team work and sharp finishing. Well done to all of the girls who took part and good luck in the next round.
