Liz Bryson Cup Final 2026

17th Feb 2026

The girls from Primary 7 took on Strandtown Primary School today at the Avoniel Leisure Centre in the deciding match of the Liz Bryson Cup.

With the biggest crowd of the year turning out to bring a great atmosphere to the game, the game was played in a very competitive spirit from start to finish.

The first half was a half of few opportunities but those that did present themselves were taken well by Strandtown to take a 2-0 lead into the half time break.

The second half saw St Therese impose themselves more on the game and were able to create some openings that required great defending and excellent shot stopping to prevent St Therese from scoring. As the half progressed, Strandtown managed to take their chances to seal victory and claim the Liz Bryson Cup for 2026.

Well done to all of the girls who took part throughout the year. They have shown great skill, commitment and determination to make it to the final.
