The girls from Primary 7 took on Cairnshill PS in the Quarter-Final of the Liz Bryson Cup at the Waterworks today.
The first half was a very competitive battle that saw Cairnshill take the lead after five minutes following a swift counter attack. St Therese quickly reset and drew themselves back level after a quick passage move that was clinically finished. The girls took control until half time but were thwarted by some magnificent saves from the visitors’ keeper.
The second half saw the Turks quickly assert their dominance and took control of the game with a couple of quick-fire goals. After gaining the lead, the girls never looked back and managed to see out the game for victory and progressing to the semi-finals. Well done to both teams on a great game.
