Cyril Murray Quarter-Final Vs St Bernard's, Wynchurch

3rd Dec 2025

The boys took on St Bernard's, Wynchurch in the quarter-finals of the Cyril Murray at a cold and slippery Waterworks. Playing after the confidence of their last game, the boys started off brightly and gave the St Bernard's defence and keeper plenty to think about in the opening exchanges of the game.

However, once St Bernard's settled into their rhythm, they began to exert control of the game and were able to secure two goals in quick succession to take a well earned lead into half-time.

The second half of the game saw St Therese start pressing St Bernard's in search of a way back into the game. With their desire to score strong, it allowed St Bernard's to expose the press and double their half time lead.

With the game all but settled, St Therese eventually managed to claw back one goal as reward for all of their efforts. Well done to St Bernard's and good luck in the next round of the cup.
