The children were fantastic getting into a variety of characters, from pupils caught in a WW2 air raid, Ancient Egyptians on the River Nile, the egyptologist Howard Carter and powerful pharaohs.
The use of role-play, conscience alley, hot-seating and tableau allowed the children to fully explore characters, their thoughts and feelings and how people lived in the past.
