Chinese New Year Celebrations 2026

The children who won the Chinese Poster Competition were invited to Belfast’s City Hall this morning to collect their prizes. It was an extra special day as Chinese New Year is also being celebrated worldwide. When they arrived they were treated to an array of Chinese culture including food, song, dance and Classical Chinese music. 

There were over 8000 entries so we are extremely proud of Maeve from P3 Mrs Black’s class and Kean from P5 from Byrne’s class, who were highly commended in their age groups.
