Celebrating the centenary of the canonisation of St. Therese of Lisieux
On Thursday 15th May 2025, the girls and boys of P4-P7 gathered in St. Therese Church along with their parents/guardians and the wider parish family to celebrate the Mass marking 100 years of Saint Therese of Lisieux. The children carried huge flowers in the entrance procession adorned with tissue paper symbolising each child’s prayers for the Mass. They told the story of St. Therese’s journey to sainthood through a moving presentation during which petals were sprinkled in the sanctuary of the church. The children were led in prayer by Fr John and Fr Michael and they sang with impressive passion and energy which contributed enormously to the beautiful ceremony. Mrs Cunningham from the Parish Pastoral Council praised the whole school family for a very moving ceremony to mark this significant milestone in our commemoration of St. Therese of Lisieux. The parish treated every child in the school to an ice-cream to celebrate.
