Last Thursday, the boys and girls from Primary 6 & 7 took part in the individual and team events at Mallusk Playing Fields. Whilst the sun might have been shining, it was to be a tough day for all who took part as the heavy underfoot conditions and strong head wind made the 1.6km course feel even longer.
With four races for the boys and girls open and individual races, and over 300 children taking part, our pupils put in tremendous performances in what was a new experience for most them. Each one of them gave 100% effort in completing the course, crossing the line with sore legs and tired bodies. The immediate pain felt in finishing was soon replaced with a great sense of accomplishment and smiles from all.
Well done to all the children who took part and thank you to all who were able to come along and cheer the children on. The children and staff really appreciated the support and help.
