Behind the scenes with the Student Council 😊👏🏻
⭐️ Our Student Council have been working incredibly hard this year to make a positive impact on life at St. Thérèse. They continue to ensure that pupil voice remains at the heart of our school community. ⭐️
Throughout the year, the Council organised and led a successful Christmas raffle, raising funds to support lunchtime activities and to replenish important classroom resources, including sensory items for our calm corners. 😊
Working alongside our caretaker, Mr. Maguire, the Council also helped design and install new Buddy Bench signage in the playgrounds. 👍🏻 They visited each class to speak about the importance of “looking up, looking around and looking out for each other,” and explained how the Buddy Benches help promote kindness and inclusion during playtime. 💞
As part of Catholic Schools Week 2026, the Student Council hosted a whole-school assembly focusing on this year’s theme, “Normal Lives, Called to Holiness.” They spoke with confidence and enthusiasm about how small acts of love can make a big difference in our daily lives. ♥️
Every week, Council members check and respond to the Student Voice suggestion boxes, ensuring that the thoughts, ideas, and needs of their peers are heard and acted upon. ✅
Well done to our fantastic Student Council—we are so proud of all you have achieved, and we look forward to seeing the impact you continue to make this term!👏🏻👏🏻😁
