2025 Inaugural Girls North Belfast 5-a-side Cup

17th Jun 2025

The first edition of the North Belfast Cup for girls took place at Blessed Trinity College on Thursday 29th May. Once again, a massive thank you to the college who this year gave us full access for 2 full days to their wonderful facilities.

The final of the girls tournament was contested by St Therese of Lisieux and St Bernard's.

In one of the best games of the year, with superb skill and commitment shown from every single player, resulted in the game finishing draw with a score of 2-2. After extra-time couldn't separate the teams, it went to penalties.

In the shootout, St Therese goalkeeper managed to save 4 out of the 5 kicks and scored her own to secure the first edition of the trophy for St Therese.

Both teams were a wonderful credit to their schools with superb commitment and sportsmanship on display from start to finish.

Well done to all who took part and we look forward to growing the tournament next year and the years ahead.
