Primary 4 children made the most of the beautiful weather recently to take their learning outdoors. They had great fun racing around the school garden to locate multiples of 3, 4, 5 and 10. This was a perfect opportunity to develop their quick and accurate recall of multiplication facts whilst enjoying being in our beautiful school garden!
In St.Therese of Lisieux PS we firmly believe that the outdoor area provides young children with one of the best possible environments in which to learn. It offers a sense of freedom without the constraints of the indoor environment. Through play, the Primary 4 children learned about common multiples of 3 & 4 and 5 & 10. They discovered this when they realised that the other team had a number spot with one of their numbers on it! In the next game they made sure to be extra fast to try and gather all the common multiples before the opposing team found them!
